Continuing to focus on the educational facilities market, Marcam Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:MRCM) today announced that Harvard University Operations Services (UOS) has selected its Avantis Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution to automate the business processes associated with facilities maintenance, transportation, engineering and utilities, and environmental health and safety services. The selection of Avantis is part of a continuing program of service improvements to the University's schools and departments by UOS.

With Avantis' point and click ease-of-use, UOS staff will be able to manage preventive and scheduled work, including environmental compliance programs, as well as initiate work and parts orders, provide status reports and inform the system of tasks completed without endless, inefficient paper trails. From the status of individual work orders to long-term strategic planning information, Avantis will also enable UOS managers to have access to data vital to their University customers' facilities management strategies.

(NASDAQ:MRCM) today announced that Kraft Foods, Inc. has successfully implemented its PRISM software at twenty-two plants in the past year. This brings the total number of Kraft sites that have implemented Marcam's process ERP software to over sixty worldwide. Kraft intends to continue its US rollout of PRISM over the next 12 months.
Marcam's customer base, which includes some of the world's largest food and beverage companies such as J.R. Simplot, McCormick and Bass Brewers, reflects the company's aggressive food industry initiative which leverages its unmatched technology and experience in food and beverage manufacturing.
Kraft plants are utilizing PRISM's Inventory, Production Control, Planning, Procurement and Activity Based Costing modules to streamline manufacturing processes.
