I'm long several thousand shares in BRKS. For what it's worth I spoke to a manager in ORBKF (a company which manufactures optical measurement equipment for electronics manufacturers and flat panel displays) a few days ago and said they were very, very bullish on the flat panel display business going forward. Even in Japan that sector seems to be doing very well.
regards

Hi Bruce

There are several differences between now and the last peak (Fall 97)

1. There are no rumblings about a meltdown in Asia. In fact, all the news points to recovery in Asia, and a new round of retooling around the world.
2. Insiders are not dumping shares (Robert Therrien unloaded over 1 million shares in the Fall of 97 at about $36 per share, just before the stock skidded.
3. The stock is nowhere near the high of 41.
