Drew, I got the same feeling from the CC. Question? Does the "high single digits" cost ($.08-.09?) mentioned by Bernie include the cost to operate the gateways ($.07 estimate by ING analyst)? Under contracts with service provider partners, GSTRF receives $.47. Very, very nice margins.

About a month ago, I wrote that the stock price wouldn't really move until the next launch on 3/11/99 (?) and G* can begin sat-to-sat testing with 16 birds up. The I* problems just exacerbated the slide to $16. I have mixed feelings about the slide. On the positive side, from my ASND/LU profits, I have two more large purchases to complete my GSTRF position. I've got another buy order in at $15.

<<"The low end defines the market." In other words, it is real hard to sell a significant number of anything for 10x something else with similar functionality.>>

Good point, Drew. To a large extent, when both systems are available I* and G* minutes will be *fungible goods*. ...Tim
