Ah, the old leap of faith argument. If physics teaches duality, can theology be wrong? The problem is that there is reason to understand the duality of matter. It is observable, repeatable and verifiable.

I do not believe in preordained human activity. Business is one such human activity. It stretches my credibility beyond the breaking point to believe that there is a band of deities interested in my or anybody else's financial well-being, willing to use a publicly traded company as its instrumentality. Does that absolve executives from making bad decisions? If all is predestined why pay executives those fancy salaries at all. Maybe instead of consulting "analysts" we should be consulting a local shaman. Maybe analysts are shamans. They certainly seem to have the unquestioned devotion of lots of investors.

We had a fellow here on this thread, one hpeace, who knew everything. He too had vision, except his came direct from God. Claimed God directed his investments. He was big on Compaq just prior to the problems about channel stuffing or the huge writeoffs resulting from the merger.

I don't trust anybody who hears voices that speak only to him. Besides which, those angels have been anything but accurate.

TTFN,
CTC
