Tony Viola. Re: "to help you value "overvalued" stocks like, MSFT, CSCO, INTC". I've seen several lazy analysts lump msft, csco, dell, and intc together and say they are "overvalued". One even gave a combined PE of 61.

Intel clearly has the lowest PE among the big 4, at least half of the others. From the latest Value line (which figures PE on past 6 mos and next 6 mos estimate) I get the following:

Intc: 33.7
MSFT: 71.5
CSCO 69.5
Dell 71.5

Inotherwords, for a "gorilla" Intel's PE has room to expand. I didn't figure what the "monkey" was worth.:)

Tony,
Thanks for the fine explanation of Gorillas, Chimps, Monkeys, Kings, Jacks etc. I will follow it closely when I give a summary of "The Gorilla Game" at the next NAIC investors club meeting.

Having had a fling in Dell I am still counting my money, $, $+1, $+2, .... and feeding it to the Microsoft gorilla. The margin boys wants Intel to be less than 60% of my portfolio. ( Others even prefer it to be less than 50%).

OT** I have just been honored by an SI group (of one?) in at Atlanta. They sent their emissary out to San Diego to present me with a winning trophy. This is not BS.( I am sure others have done better).

The trophy reads:

1998 Stock Market Total Return
FIRST PLACE
Humble Carl Mehr 92%

For the first time in my life I was left speechless; I am still
