on computerized trading, which you have commented on: I watched Ray Kurzweil, of AI/voice recognition/voice synthesis fame, on CSPAN over the weekend. He discussed his new book on machine intelligence, but also said that he is now working on genetic algorithms for stock trading. He said that about 5% of trading is now controlled by this, up from 1% last year and rising... ( how exact he meant to be I don't know ). He said that these systems find many arbitrage opportunities that a human being would not see. Dave
