GTEC, News Release:

Company Press Release
Grip Technologies Licenses Patented Glove Technology to World's Largest Manufacturer of Sports Gloves
VISTA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 1999--Grip Technologies Inc. (OTC BB:GTEC - news) Tuesday announced it has signed a letter of intent to license its patented glove treatment to Dayup Sports Glove Company, the world's largest manufacturer of sports gloves.

Grip Technologies' patented glove treatment involves coating gloves with a formula of polymers that greatly increases tackiness, resulting in improved gripping power. The technology has been in development for seven years, and was specifically formulated to increase the performance of sports gloves, such as those used in baseball, softball, golf, racquetball, weightlifting and cycling.

With the coating, gloves will provide a more secure and comfortable grip with better control. The patented coating clings to grips used on racquets, bats, golf clubs and handlebars, but is not sticky to the touch.

Dayup Sports Glove Company, with headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, manufactures sports gloves that are sold across the globe under a number of well-recognized international brand names.

''Entering into an agreement with a major sports glove manufacturer is a validation of our technology,'' said Sam G. Lindsay, president and chief executive officer of Grip Technologies. ''From a financial perspective, Grip Technologies will receive an ongoing royalty on every glove sold. Under a licensing agreement of this nature, our costs are minimal, which should allow most of the royalties we receive to fall directly to the bottom line.''

The company did not reveal terms of the letter of intent, and completion of a formal agreement is subject to approval of both boards of directors. If approved, the company expects to complete the agreement by March 15, 1999.

In addition to developing and licensing the patented glove treatment, Grip Technologies also designs and distributes premium-quality golf grips to leading golf equipment companies and to golf retailers, golf pro shops and clubmakers.

This release includes statements which may be forward-looking statements made pursuant to safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. These statements are subject to certain risks and uncertainties which could cause actual results to differ materially from the forward-looking statements, including, but not limited to, risks related to the golf equipment and sport glove business in general, market acceptance of the company's technology in particular, general economic and business conditions, and competition.
