ALL:

a few thoughts...

1) why is ashok kumar so stupid? i remember this guy saying not too long ago (around the time celeron came out...during the interview he didnt even know the processors name<G>) that celeron would bury the K6. now, he is still saying the same thing. is it hereditary or what?

2) possible announcement by major PC OEM that K6 processors will be in a new line up of sub 1k computers (and its not GTW).

3) K6-3 going into low cost servers...its going to happen, and thats the higher margin business that AMD wants. imagine a powerful server with a K6-3 at the core, running linux and selling for less than 1500.

4) production problems...this is where i am still concerned. K6-3 is going to be winner, but can the company make it in volume cost effectively?

i have played AMD for years...always loved it. its become crystal clear to me that buying below 20 is always a good decision. sanders isnt the brightest guy in the world ( a fact which he has proven on multiple occasions<G>), but the SOB is damn hard to get rid of, and by extension so is his company.

good luck to all,
trey
