Maybe that is what the ERICY GSM rights deal is about. The Q needs China. In order for this to happen, major payolla is involved. Timing with the shareholders meeting is also interesting.

On the brighter side, the quotes are hilarious in a sick sort of way. My favorite:

"Why would you let anyone in your country waste money on a technology from some company in California that everyone is trying to get rid of?" asks Richard Siemens, chairman of Hong Kong cellular company Distacom Communications Ltd."

IMHO, the reason Sprint PCS stock (PCS) has done so poorly is because their network (and its data rate capability) is lousy and should be gotten rid of. Investors have clearly realized Sprint's folly going with cdma <VVVBG>.
