Here is some more interesting information regarding MUSE and Viagra:

MUSE continues to be the ED product of choice which is covered by the Veteran's Administration.

The VA will NOT cover Viagra and has no intention of doing so.

The major reason that the VA refuses to cover Viagra is because they have a large percentage of patients who are in the at risk group and are taking nitrates. According to a urologist surveyed at the VA as many as 1/2 of the patients complaining of ED are on nitrates.

The VA doctors certainly are willing to prescribe Viagra to patients who are not at risk and request it but they have to fill the prescription at a private pharmacy and pay for Viagra 100% out of pocket.

MUSE on the other hand is covered by the VA plan and is available in the VA pharmacies.
