Breakthrough! U.K. test for meningitis. No apparent Xoma connection in development of this test but not totally ruled out by (me).

Bluegreen did you see this? Get a grip!!

"Doctors revealed that the almost completed trials have been an outstanding success. The breakthrough is due to be
announced on BBC1's Tomorrow's World programme."

Too bad it was not My Mother who wrote the previous article, in which case we could have some hope they were talking about the XOMA trials and not the diagnostic test!<g> But since it was not my mother, aka m.m., the story probably contains no errors and indeed refers to the test.

In any case. If a test gets all this attention imagine what will happen if and when a cure is announced.

Wonder why none of us ran into anything at all about this test. Not as if we have not looked all over. The test may have been factor in reducing death rate and difficulty in reaching targets.
