What will this new IPO ZD/net do for us who own zd? Do we get in on the IPO ? Do we have to buy shares in the IPO ? Do we get nothing except to hope our stock price(ZD) goes up? What's up with this anyhow...stupidass me would appreciate any help/thanks

Minos, you have to look at the change in open interest from one day to the next, that is because the volume may be closing transactions.
Let's say I sold you a call last month. That showed as volume on the day of the transaction, and increased the open interest by one. Today you're not so sure so you sell the options contract to me, basically cancelling the call contract. The volume will show up even though it's a closing transaction and not necessarily bullish, but the open interest will decrease by one, which will give the correct inference.
