About two weeks ago, I got scared by the market gyrations and sold off some of my internet stocks only to see them rally back, a couple of days later, with a vengeance! Missed some great profits! Ah, but one can't win everytime, I suppose.

It is scary to think we may be heading towards a 1929-style crash. But many think that the internet makes things different this time around---that is, the great speed of communication, increased efficiency and increased productivity will help us get by.

But I tend to agree the odds are in favour of a gloom and doom scenario. (Of course, putting Nostradamus and adverse planetary aspects aside.)
