Embedded memory is not really a threat to the desktop PC market, since PC manufacturers can hit sweet spots in the market by offering wide varieties of DRAM options. You can sell a machine with 64MB of SDRAM, and then, if the user needs more, they can upgrade it. With memory on a chip, you don't get an option of upgrading your machine, which is fine, if you know how much memory you'll need for however long you're going to own your PC.

It's a great solution for handhelds, since the memory upgrades are more infrequent, but, IMO, not a threat to the desktop market...
