Djane,

No impact. G* will use ERICY's satellite + GSM phone. So are the whole Europe and other GSM countries. They are many of them as you can see. That is why the phone contacts were awarded to ERICY and a Italian company. However, chipsets for satellite part will come from QCOM.

PS. from yesterday's conference call, Mr. S. mentioned that ERICY is going to ask $1,100 for its sat+GSM phone. The Italian company will ask for about $850. ((QCOM will ask somewhere in between for its tri-mode (sat+CDMAone+analog) phone, I assume.)) Bear in mind, Those are wholesale prices. The operators will decide how much it will ask from the customers. If they want, they can offer a discount price phone to attract the customers. May be $300 or so, I will also get the service (gg).
