Steve,

When I did this for the first time (and did it again with 2.1), I installed all the programs from the CD on the laptop. In order to get the data right you should each time copy the whole updated d:\QP2data directory (including subdirectories) to the laptop as c:\QP2data. I never had any problem. I use Win95 direct link for the files transfer (you can even use it if you don't have a CD driver in you laptop). Installing the programs directly on the laptop should avoid any disk labels problems. Copying the QP programs directory doesn't work since several files are stored in the systems directory.
Enjoy your vacation while making lots of profits.

To All,

I'm having a problem successfully completing the Friday (June 4th) data download. The data downloaded successfully. The downloader then went successfully from Phases 1 through 5. But when it started on Phase 6, I received the following messages...

First, "Could not open a price data file", I clicked on OK
Then a message which said something like Error = 407, I clicked on OK
Then a message which said Abnormal Program Termination. When I click on Ok this time, the downloader program has stopped. If I try to run the display program, or if I reboot and the virtual program tries to start, I again get these three messages.

I restored my data from backups and was successful at using QP Virtual and the display program (using data as of Thursday, June 3rd). Once again I tried the download process, unfortunately with the exact same results as the first time.

Before I send a message off to QP2, anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve Keyser
