However, if ATHM wants to go DSL route, its advantage is gone. RBOCs own 100% of copper wires that go to every one's home. ATHM will then have to abide by RBOCs' rule and pay them a lot of money to use it. So, DSL will not and can not be ATHM's main focus.
The very existance of ATHM is dependant on Cable. Even AT&T doesn't own the last mile of copper wires to every one's home, let alone ATHM.
