read the last few words of the press release yesterday again...its say dealerships not manufacturing plants...

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 1999--Microphonics
(OTC BB:MRPS) has received a purchase order from SPX Lowener OTC Tool
GMBH in Langemfeld, Germany. Microphonics has begun supplying
Microphincs Model A07,S to them for shipment to Ford Motor Company and
their 9700 European dealers.

my observation is that Manufacturing plants and dealerships are ordering them...

T., Maybe for no other reason than all the competition, Ford Dealerships, have them. Also I expect that the FORD PLANTS, like the GM palnts may very well get them in the near future.

Think about it....ALL Ford Dealerships have the basic model and the manufacturing plants don't (YET)

And the GM plants are starting to get the $3,000 unit but their dealerships don't. GM took 1-1/2 YEARS testing the unit very thoroughly and approved it with flying colors.

Both companies are taking a different approach but obviously both feel they have a place in both the dealerships and the plants.

In case you didn't know because the plant noise is much higher and the tests during quality control much more critical, the more expensive unit will always be bought at the plants and the $500 unit most of the time at dealerships.

Also, let's not get too hung on just GM and Ford...more contract announcements coming in the next few days and weeks.
