Hong Kong's Tsang to Announce Plans for Disney Park Next Week,
Apple Says

Hong Kong, Feb. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Donald Tsang, Hong Kong's financial secretary, will announce a plan by Walt Disney Co. of the U.S. to build a HK$50 billion ($6.5 billion) theme park in Hong Kong next week in his budget speech, the Apple Daily newspaper reported, citing unnamed sources. The park, which would cover 170 hectares in the Chuk Kok Wan area of the city's Lantau Island, will be completed as early as 2005.

Disney could seal an initial agreement on the park by the end of April, the paper said.
