Baljko Electronic Buyers' News SAN FRANCISCO -- With competition heating up in the analog and digital signal processor (DSP) business, Texas Instruments Inc. plans to maintain its aggressive acquisition run and new product introduction rate to better carve its niche in the sector, a company executive said Monday. Having pared down its product portfolio and divested its memory chip business last year, TI has focused it chip development around DSP- and analog-centric applications. It has built up this opportunity as a result of recent acquisitions and by putting DSP chips in new market segments, said senior vice president John Scarisbrick at the BancBoston Robertson Stephens technology conference here......
