Notes to Editors Ease of Use The DIVA USB is designed with the non-technical user in mind and offers true plug and play functionality. It is an external device, so there's no need to open up the box - simply plug the USB cable into a USB port and the ISDN cable in the ISDN wall socket. The PC will automatically detect the device and configure the correct drivers. USB The Universal Serial Bus is now a standard in the PC world, offering a number of extra features over a standard serial connection. Faster data transfer rates from a standard port mean that a host of new devices can communicate with the PC at far greater speeds, while at the same time being easier to configure. An added benefit is that power can be drawn from the PC so devices can be truly portable. Features The DIVA USB is loaded with new features aimed directly at the home and small office users. Security, fax and remote access are all significantly enhanced. Eicon Technology has added new fax, data and RAS capabilities to its range of ISDN server cards, making them the complete end-to-end connectivity solution for small to medium enterprises. Eicon's server cards include DIVA Server BRI and DIVA Server 4 BRI for Basic Rate ISDN and the DIVA Server PRI range for Primary RateISDN.
