Harris & Harris <HHGP.O> sets NBX sale, dividend

NEW YORK, Feb. 23 (Reuters) - Harris & Harris Group Inc said
Tuesday that it will pay shareholders a $0.35 per share dividend,
contingent upon the sale of NBX Corp to 3Com Corp <COMS.O>.

NBX, a privately-held ethernet telephony firm, has agreed to be
acquired by 3Com Corp for about $90 million in cash, plus other
consideration. Harris & Harris owns a 13.95 percent stake in NBX.

The dividend will be paid March 5, to shareholders of record March
2, Harris & Harris said.

At this time, earnings, sales, products, or none of the
other things matter a whole hell of a lot. Regardless
of what 3COM reports, market is going to kick them in
the stomach, because everyone knows they have this loser
image and attitude. It is time to exhibit some self-
confidence more than anything else! I am tired of holding
a wimpish stock who cannot respond to anything that Chambers
dishes out. So even if COMS reports .45 this quarter,
stock is going no place, until COMS behaves like they know
what they are doing.
