Just a correction to J.Oil's last post when he said that most companies "have 100m shares Issued" - I'm sure that he meant "authorized", not "issued".

your 5 million shares for $5 million dollars scenario would indicate that there is no discount on the shares for the financing. Is this correct? Does the financier have a protection plan on those shares in case of a stock price drop? Is 5 million shares the maximum the company will issue?
