But it is possible to calculate the highs and lows using OTHER forms of TA. Partial differentials of the index, and trends from it's components can be used to calculate a degree of trend lines with probabilities of directions, and strength. This then is used to construct a relationship of future trends. Add in earning streams, POG, rates, monetary policy, and other; and you can predict future index price.

gvc: but i'm looking for a lower low to get the necessary confirmation of my 9 wave theory. we need to break the prior low on a monthly closing basis to get all my arrows lined up...:)
