Did you know that Cable and Wireless is becoming a major player in China?

Through Hong Kong Telecom?

And that China Telecom is in the process of major restructuring?

Whether or not this is beneficial or detrimental to GTCI and
the other 14,000 iSP's in China is anyone's guess.

But for you to reach your investment conclusion based on this
one paragraph excerpt from the "Economist" is nothing other
then a gigantic....

LEAP OF FAITH

Hardly thoughtful or poignant analysis.

Now China has been a very contradictory country for at least
the past two thousand years. There are many positive signs and
there are many negative signs as to the direction of China's
immediate future.

I personally agree and feel that barraging China with information
via the Internet and whatever others means will be very beneficial
to undermining authoritarian control and the suppression of dissident voices and the voices of the many minorities (all Chinese are not one big homogenous culture). However, I also realize that China has never had democracy in any form with which the United States is familiar. The whole notion of American individualism is foreign to Chinese communitarianism, though the notion of greed and corruption are not.

Thus the wealth distribution and accumulation of wealth via
crony capitalism has primarily benefited the few rather than the many hitherto, and thus whether or not China becomes more of
a consumptive consumer oriented society like the US or more
like a oligarchy and plutocracy benefiting from misappropriating foreign dollars like the Russia still hasn't been determined.

However, with all this said, none of this answers any of the
questions I put forth re: GTCI and especially how exactly GTCI is
going to realize earning projections put forth and
promulgated by their paid PR for this year and the coming year
in what is still a very small Internet and computer market especially
with some many competitors, falling prices, and "big boys" knocking
at the door.

(Remember percent growth and size are two very different things).

Sincerely,
