I personally think...we have a long way to go .....Screw the new laws they want and let them catch money launderers the right way by following the money trail in CASH...Drug Dealers arent stupid they will depost 800 bucks a week or not make deposits at all..This is meant to harrass the normal folks...

It's not the banks fault. Federal Government is very, very strict about requiring it on cash deposits over I believe 5000. It's to stop money laundering for drug guys. SWorry your wife was hasseled, but it would happen at any legitimate bank in the U.S.
