I walked into a branch once and deposited $200,000 cash...that was in 1992...they were jumping all over themselves trying to act natural..

Anytime you deposit $10000 or more the bank must fill out a form and report it to the gov. Just deposit $9999 and they do not need to report. $5000 times two is also an excellent way to get around the rule, although I do not know if you can deposit this at the same time.
