CD - picking low...

Hmmm... When I want to buy at the low, I usually just select that option with my broker. Doesn't yours offer you a "buy at low" choice? I don't use it very often, cause it sorta feels like cheating...

C Dave,

You would have gotten more answers to your question by omitting
the phrase "successful daytraders". Very few, and certainly not me,
are fitting that rubric recently.

Better late than never, I have retrieved your answer from a pro:
mtrader.com
read and enjoy --- although be careful in weird markets (aren't they all ;%)

Here is another theory:
As it happens I happened to catch an exact bottom on ITGR yesterday.
I was so thrilled with my method that I decided to give it a name...........Dumb Luck. Basically midway through the day I thought
that ITGR was well off its high and might get support at about 5. Then I reasoned that sometimes they actually go lower than you think and so I decided to put in a limit order at 4 13/16. The lowest quote
of the day which lasted for 5 to 10 seconds only was 4 3/4 to 4 15/16.
My bid was taken out. Unfortunately it gapped down not up today. News
was too good. I *think* I got out 4 31/32. Where are those popsicle stand companies when you need'em.

Good Luck,
Joe
