I've only been watching Cramer's commentary for about a year (and sporadically at that) but my general sense about the guy is that he, like a thousand other, fund managers does his best to try to shoot down stocks that he didn't have the foresight to establish a position in at a more favorable price. He's a hedge fund manager and that almost by definition means he's looking in the rear view mirror, imo.
