El: Unless someone writes a book on it - I don't know how we will ever know the why's and wherefore's of the AV announcement. Somebody fed Faber the story about an imminent AV spin-off allied with a TimeWarner partnership. It wasn't CPQ, because Faber got the CPQ version of the story wrong. Once the essence of the story was out - that there was to be a spin-off, then CPQ had to do something or be plagued every day with rumours and questions. So it said, we already have a partnership with Time Warner, we may or may not develop that, but not if TW wants a lot of the equity in AV, so we are looking at a number of other potential partnrships and options. Meanwhile, we cannot deny that we will spin-off AV, we will, but we have not got it ready yet. Part of the getting it ready will be to develop content, possibly with TW possibly through acquistions.

Elwood. Re: "I am not overwhelmed with the senior management's moves." Good insights by Rudedog as usual. I thought Victor's points later on the thread about EP being forced to announce before he was ready made sense. BWDIK.

I think cpq will do fine. It will be a little messy before they get there.
