Increased activity by NP Energy in the telecommunications industry by its subsidiary MetroPLUS Communications Corp, and expected renewed activity in its precious metal holdings, spurred Lazo's appointment, the company said. NP said Lazo's business background as owner of several companies would bring strong business acumen to the company.
