My situation is that I want to show the shares as worthless for the 1998 tax year, even though I still own them.
When you showed your Bre-x as worthless, did you sell the stock, for what ever it is worth , the same tax year ? If I sell my SYQT today, then I can't show any losses in tax year 1998.
