BGR, I am aware of the fact that there are rich people in even the poorest of nations but i seriously doubt that 25% of India's population lives a middle class standard by US standards perhaps it was a typo 2.5% ? . The metrics which i focus on is the fact the US economy is a debt fueled consumption bubble economy fed by easy credit and the wealth effect of the most overvalued market in US history.- as measured by the conventional market metrics of course i.e. B/V, dividend yield, PE , mkt capitalization as % GDP et. al. In one of your prior note you made reference to central bank tightening in SEA prior to their collapse- to the best of my knowledge no central bank tightened there the market took rates up after the bubble bust in that region.
