BRAVO!!!
...with risk comes potential of HUGE return....
It may not be overnight, but this is truly an entry level opp to make some serious cash. Now may (or may not) be the time to enter GTCI, but I believe the possibilities warrant watching this company's activities VERY closely....
I Will no longer play "Trivial Pursuit" or "Truth or Dare" (or whatever such foolishness that a certain naysayer spews), rather, I will lurk in the background and keep my bookmark in place.....
Remember, GTCI is not only involved in China....they have rights to software Y2K solutions throughout Asia....
This company has potential, and that is what investing is all about. Don't waste your mental energy trying to figure out what certain anti-hypsters intentions are...they don't matter in the big picture.....

Regards,
Zen

www.browsemaster.com makes a program that filters out ztects and bobkitties quite nicely...I know they are still squaking, but I can't hear 'em. It makes reading the thread much quicker.....

Thank you again for intelligent debate...

However, let's look at the claims of the "Time's" article juxtaposed
to those of another article posted on this thread earlier by "blessed".

From "Time Magazine"...(No link, no date, no context)

"...Last year, Chinese purchased 2.1 million PCs, up from 190,000 in 1992. When figures for 1997 and 1998 are in, PC sales should top Japan's and by 2000 China will be a Bigger market than the US...."

Now from prior "blessed's" post:

This article is from the South China Morning Post. The link to viewing it online is: scmp.com

Tuesday February 9 1999

"...Sales of personal computers for home users in the mainland grew more than 60 per cent last year compared with 1997, with more than 1.2 million units sold, according to market researcher Advanced Forecasting-HuiCong (AFHC)...."

That is 1.2 sold in 1998 and 750,000 sold in 1997

Now which article is correct?

When was your article written and to what years does it refer?

Do you really believe that PC's sales will be bigger by NUMBER
in China then in either the US or Japan in the year 2000?

Are you interested in my ocean front property in North Dakota?

I have not painted the whole country as ugly in a broad stroke.
You, like WSRG, seem prone to exaggeration.

I have merely posted news that balances your hyperbola with less
sanguine points of view from an article from Fortune Magazine. I have
also posted reports from other sources such as the United Nations
and the Ny Times to back my words.

Now regarding Terry Wong, his resume is posted on the company web page
globaltci.com

Wong's academic record doesn't necessarily stand-out and he also doesn't appear to be a recent immigrant....

1983-1984 Simon Fraser University
Masters Program/ Economics
1979-1982 Simon Fraser University
Bachelor of Arts – Commerce
Focus in Finance
1976-1979 Forest Fields College
Nottingham, England
Completed O-Level and A-Level secondary school

As for his experience or that of any others you listed, it is very
difficult to ascertain and verify. Information about Wong previous experience is vague at best.

1989 - 1997 Fortune Maple Capital Ltd. (Hong Kong / Canada)

1984 - 1994 Tak Kee Stevedoring and Shipping (Hong Kong)

I can't find info about these two companies. Maybe you can provide it.

Per the webpage the other director is listed as George Delmas. Not
Michael Wang of Professor Lai

A Mr. Till is listed in a Dec.3,'98 PR

Wang is listed as follows "..Michael Wang has joined the company as general manager..." in a PR and NOT as a director per a PR 10/22/98
Very little is revealed about him in that article, and Wang is not
mentioned as part of the management team on GTCI's webpage.

Lai Yungqito is listed as a director per a GTCI PR 9/25/98
and he is acclaimed as one of "the most famous Chinese in the world" .

Now be honest with me Tim, have you ever heard of him?

There are a lot of claims made about Lai's accomplishments
but has anyone verified them? Lai also isn't listed on the management
team on GTCI's web page

Do you believe everything printed in a Company press release?
Or do you have a closer relationship with the company than you have
hitherto admitted?

Sincerely,

z
