As a Dell shareholder, I am sorry to hear that.
I hope that Dell was able to straighten it all out eventually...
If not, then I hope you are happy with the current service you get from Gateway. I don't use them, so I don't know.

I have never had any trouble with my Dell, so I can't speak for Dell service. Others on the Dell thread have reported good service.
Some, like yourself have reported trouble.

by the way, if you need to get somebody's attention at dell, I suggest you email Michael Dell himself. His email is Michael@dell.com
I sent him a birthday wish yesterday and got a nice (probably automated) reply last night.
