Actually, Zeev, if polymer transistors can become viable, the will probably be cranked out on something like an ink-jet printer and may not have any lithography involved. They would be used in applications where there is about 1/1000 the performance of Si at about 1/1,000,000 the cost. See for example

lucent.dk

This kind of stuff is so crazy and far out that Cymer will be at $500/share before any of this finds its way into a commercial application.

ZH.. some excellent points..and additional support for the idea of owning CYMI..if anyone needed any. As for GaAs, however, methinks your comments, which seem a bit negative, might defer folks away from some excellent alternative investments.. VTSS, for example, has been running better than a 40% growth rate by emphasizing GaAs principally for comm and testers..

At least one of the little chip testers, LTXX, is up 400+% since the Oct lows, relying on the GaAs chip for the heart of the "SoC" test equipment. GaAs may not take over the world, but they have a strong niche, which offers some excellent investment opportunities, imho..
