I wasn't short, I had just sunk a bunch of money into long positions in such stocks as Cisco, Lucent, Dell, and was waiting to see if I had guessed right or was going to go down. No way any of us could have guessed what would happen next. I got lucky and you were unlucky. And so it goes. I think you know how to play the game just fine. You can't always win. I don't know my gluteus maximus from a hole in the ground, all I know is, "don't bet the grocery money."
