The negotiations may be difficult and require patience and a savvy negotiator to obtain favorable terms. Recently, pharma has been putting low-ball offers on the table. Since, many biotechs are cash starved some are accepting the trash terms being offered. Take a look at:

biz.yahoo.com

as an example. It is my understanding that IMGN got a minuscule $1 million up-front. The deal looks good on the surface. But, look deeply and you find a desperate company almost giving away their technology. Rick Harmon knows this area better than anyone I know and here is his analysis:

These are tough times for small cap biotechs and pharmas are not shy about taking advantage.

I hope that things go better for PARS. Having the credit line in place and the increasing cash flow from Lotemax and Alrex insures that they don't have to deal out of desperation. However, PARS will IMHO have to be patient and insistent, and will have to be willing to walk away from the table, to get the kind of terms that are commensurate with the value of HU-211. Most of us on this thread believe that the value is large. It will take some good negotiating skills, though, to obtain that value with todays conditions.
