I personally don't define maturity to include continuing to engage in useless slanging matches with a person who has substituted personal invective for discourse and who has exhibited multiple instances of untruthfulness on this thread. What is mature about that? I suppose one could simply ignore him, but that doesn't seem to faze him. So the course I recommend is to reply to his dishonest garbage with the simple repetition of a basic and unquestioned fact: that whatever else he may be in his other life (if he has one), on this thread he is a liar. Since you consider this an absence of maturity, I am curious as to what sorts of responses to the raw invective he posts would constitute useful and mature responses.

What we have here Rose is a group of rightwing slime throwers, part of a legacy of those who have pushed and bullied liberals or those who have disagreed with them since time began I guess. I remember the '50s when we were called communists and pinko fags and the like. I watched them drive men to suicide, ruin careers and run men like Paul Robeson and Chaplin out of the country I well remember the 60's in the south when we were spat on, our mothers were degraded, rocks were thrown at us whatever but Dr King said turn the other cheek. I saw what that got him. It has been my observation that turning the other cheek only brings a punch to that side of the face, something like turning the other cheek to the Serb aggreessors. No Rose I think the bully must be confronted, beaten knocked down and beaten again when he gets up whether it be verbally or physically. When he gets his ass kicked enough he may learn. This is why I no longer dialouge with them. I notice the backhanded compliment they give you as being bright and articulate which you are but still wrong. So I decided to get in the trough woth them give them right back what they have given us for so long whether it be a punch, bullet,bomb in a church full of children or gutter rap or slinging their proverbial ten tons of crap hoping some sticks which usually does. And guess what they don't like it they envision themselves on some kind of ethereal pedestal and us lowly obsequious ones having no right to harangue them as they are infallible, the guardians of the constitution and the bible. Well my choice is to push them back everyway they have pushed us lo these many years and watch them cry about how badly they are being treated. I havn't resorted to beatings,bombings,lynchings or shooting unarmed women driving blacks to vote but it remains an option
