70's?????Why didnt you send me congratulations for writing those cov calls in the first place?????? The back up would have been wonderful! what a lot of diverse opinion....so many said that after the split DELL would definitely be over 50 . Oh well.

But you do a lot of trading too... the only difference is you know what you are doing and I wont until I do it some more: paper trading does nothing.
Incidentally, here's how to write a covered call:
I bought Telebras (at 68)
Sold a Mar 65 covered call for $8.50.
Watch it every day but couldnt care less: if it gets called away I have a $500 gain.(7%gain in a month for an annualized 144%) If it doesnt I still have the stock and the $8.50 and maybe the stock will recover its past glory. If not I sell another for April.
The difference is I dont care if I keep Telebras or not. I still believe Dell is the place to be.
