Not to start the rumor mill going on a buyout of CIEN. But one has to remember that TLAB split from the deal because A) Shitty market conditions of its' own stock. B) CIEN seemed that it was falling apart fundamentally and C) The shareholders of TLAB did not like the scene at that time. Well now we have A) Better market conditions B) Clear signs that CIEN is firming up. Also, CIEN has clearly stated that it would be interested in being bought out. TLAB's CEO stated back in October that he might revisit the buyout of CIEN when conditions improved. Well, here we are!! It would be easier to sell the idea of a buyout when TLAB is at 81 and CIEN is doing well on its own. This is just like buying a stock. You don't want to buy it on the way down, but when it is going up for strong fundamental reasons. Either way CIEN looks like it should hit 32-33 on its' own regardless of buyout rumors. The Sprint news is awesome for the company....

Any more thoughts out there?????
