Country Bob you are right on the money, and the very best and
biggest customers will only get a few hundred shares been through
it before. Lets all hold tight we will see much better days. Been lurking
here since November. Bought along the way when we had dips.

The times they are a changin'

Places like e*trade are realizing that a whole bunch of little investors are equal to a couple big investors. Meaning, they have realized the drawing power of IPO's and are striking deals with the underwriters to get their hands on the stock. One big investor may get 10,000 shares the old way (just an example). With e*trade, they hand out 100 shares a piece and make 100 people happy.

Moral of the story, E*trade got their hands on a bunch of the hot ones recently and now they appear to be using the IPO advertising to lure new investors with an advert about Priceline.com IPO. I am assuming other e*brokers are doing the same.
