<< Not happy with todays action, but what the heck its not like we haven't seen days and weeks like this before. Still hangin in for the long haul... >>

I hate to break it to you, but there will be no 'magic' press releases
that will cause the stock to double, and no info that IR can give you
that will do the same. Unit sales don't matter, flavors of product don't matter, stock purchases by execs don't matter.

All that matters is the top and bottom line growth of the company. period. There is a very strong correlation between earnings and revenue growth and stock performance. Conversely, there is something in common with all sucky stocks: no growth.

When Iomega shows demonstrated improvement in top & bottom line growth, and indications are that it's sustainable, I'll be the first one to buy back in... In the meantime, I'm sticking with other stocks

good luck!

>>The ZD article showing Zip 100s in six of the seven 500 Mhz Pentium III boxes was heartening and was a welcome sign of things to come. At least there was not ONE Super Disk included in any of these offerings!<<

Mel -

I noticed that, too. It makes me wonder how anyone could decide that the SuperDisk is the "dominant OEM presence."

I mean, here are seven machines, from the top PC manufacturers, representing the very latest technology available. These aren't close-outs or el cheapo units. These are the top of the line boxes. And what do six out of seven of them come with as standard removable storage?

It is true that the LS-120 has made some progress of late. Certainly the Imac has had something to do with that. I said last summer that the fact that Imac had no floppy drive would create an opportunity for Imation. But still, I believe that 10 out of 10 of the top PC makers in the world offer Zip drives in their machines, and only a few of them offer SuperDisk.

Mel, I'll probably be at the meeting. If anyone else is going send an e-mail and we can possibly get together while there. I'll probably take my family along too. I have a brother that lives north of Salt Lake City and will make it an excursion.
