Presumably because money is involved? At any rate, since it's illegal for the brokers themselves to but the IPO's, I doubt it happens very often. It's probably pretty hard to hide. Now perhaps you feed your best customers who suck up to you the most, but that's a way of life as a broker, if not a way of life in the NY metropolitan area in general.

WHAT???..You don't trust the Investor's best friend???..They are honest, they have your well-being at heart, and they will work themselves to the bone to see that you get maximum benefit from your investments...they want nothing from the relatonship with you but the satisfaction that they have served you well!!! They will make you rich if you allow them to do so!!!...I also have a slightly used bridge in Brooklyn for sale at an outrageously low price...
