Brian: You are right with respect to analyst perception of SFAM and that is discounted in the market price of SFAM. I spoke with many analysts and the perception is that AMAT takes all. AMAT will take its share but will not take all especially with SFAM-IPEC in the NVLS alliance. Always room for second source and SFAM is it and possibly more. In fact, in recent order from chipmaker in SEA, SFAM-IPEC took home the metal and AMAT took home the oxide. Chipmaker wanted two sources and took some CMP from both. Spoke to Ed White of Lehman who thinks that SFAM will surprise and I agree. Besides, SFAM-IPEC is the only way to invest in a pure play in CMP and with 30% growth slated for this market over the next few years, SFAM-IPEC will get its share.
