Yes and no: The symbol changes every time Dell splits, which is rather often(G). There are not many bought since 1995 that have survived with the original symbol. If you own one Leap today, say a
Jan 2000 100 strike, it will be necessary to look up the CBOE designation for the Jan 2000 50 strike after March 5 th to find the new symbol. Luckily you would own two of those.
An not sure the Jan 2000 are now still properly called Leaps
but it makes little difference except to help the broker
look in the proper year.
