The most famous Whiz Kids were the group that Henry Ford II hired right after WWII to run the Ford Motor Company. Robert McNamara was among them, he became President of Ford, Secretary of Defense under Kennedy and Johnson and President of the World Bank. I think that RJ Miller was in the group too. He was also President of the Ford Motor Company and I think was Dean of Business School at Stanford. There were about a dozen of them and most of them went on to super careers in the Ford Motor Company and elsewhere. So Whiz Kid title is well thought of. They were all college graduates and were young military officers during the war.
