Dorine--saw both interviews...MD on CNN told Lou Dobbs that he saw three things driving Dell's growth (besides the internet)1.The Pent- ium III, 2. Windows 2000 and 3. Broadband communication. (Lou pointed out that Dell's stock price has grown 11,000% in the last 5 years)!! MD said that "the competitors you have mentioned" (CPQ for one) are still 95% in direct and that the transition to direct will be diff- icult for them to achieve. Bill PS: I won't comment on Juanita's story--but she presented a credible claim I thought.
