I see $375 for 450 Mhz K6-III and $305 for 400 Mhz K6-III from Pricewatch. This is a little above the Gateway dream price of $175 some have suggested. Of course Gateway does get some reduction for volume purchasinng and these are early prices.

Jim - RE: "The K6-III-400 and 450 have shown up on Pricewatch. $305 for a 400 and $264 for a 450. Yeah, I know that doesn't make sense but it's early." I checked out the website and it said this "In the Spotlight NOTICE: Pricing for this product was inadvertently advertised for $100 less than actual sale price. Please accept our apologies as we were mis-informed of these incorrect costs." Ironically, their computer thought of the week is "To err is human... To blame your computer for your mistakes is even more human... ...in fact, its ritual."
