The problem with the pennies is having the guts to stick it out and/or find the tops, knowing when to sell.

I have been in all of the following penny stocks that did FIVE baggers and more over the past 18 months:

AXGI, CSMA, ICVI(MTEI/DELISTED), INFE, PRWT, CSMA, WOOD, GLOW, TNRG.

Unfortunately, I sold every GD one of them way too soon, except one, which I held way too long.

I don't have any technique Mark. Just gut instinct about a companys line of work. Maybe because I worked in business development and often had to sponsor projects and products for my company.....so although I don'tknow much about stock trading, I suppose I can smell a good product out....

I think CMGI has enormous potential....as does EBay and BCST.

I missed the YHOO/AOL train till Sept. YHOO tanked to 59, and I just jumped in at 68...rest as they say, is history...I also got lucky with CSCO 4 years back ! Missed the early rise on DELL but penned it down June/July. The business model was great...

Options were my friend. Its funny, but just when everyone was writing off CIEN at $13, I traded the @2 calls successfully between $2-5 every week. Can you imagine the monthly %age gain ? Then of course CIEN took off and I said goodbye...

I lost a lot in Feb on DELL and TMCS (because I could not manage risks in such a large portfolio - just held on thru the losses)- so now I plan to siphon out the money and leave a 50-100K trading portfolio - other than that, its not really been very hard......also jumped in the IPO foray on TGLO and got burnt.

Better yet, why didn't you buy AOL at 32 a few years and many splits ago.
The idea is to get them when everyone else says "huh?"
AND turned 5k into 1 million in about 6 months.
NDB was SHD at $1 and change not many years ago.
UTMD $2 to $20 in 3 months
MXIM $8 to ?
ALTR, LLTC,BMET,BGEN,SILI out of near bankruptcy,COMS,IFMX out of near bankruptcy
HDYN $8 to 25 plus 2-3 spinoffs
SUMC ? + spinoff
MRY 5 to 23 with a great yield
KIDS/PRCO .25 to 20's less 1:5 reverse
AMPH $2 to $10+
These are just a few off the top of my head that I've either owned or watched helplessly go up and eventually get noticed by the brokerage houses.
Never had any problem picking them and also had my failures.
But I'm certain I'd have no problem making the same great returns, if not better, with more funds.
My biggest problem is and always has been what to sell in order to buy, not what to buy.
